To be honest, my family resisted getting outside support for the college application process simply because we thought we could and should be able to do it all ourselves. After all, we did it without any help back in the 90s, and we all did okay! Ha.
When personal and work emergencies made it difficult for us to prioritize the college process, we finally admitted we needed help and reached out to Admissions Angle based on a strong recommendation from another family who worked with the firm in the past. Our only regret is that we didn't start with them sooner to guide our son's junior year.
Noelle has an exceptional way of building trust and establishing friendly and professional rapport with both teenagers and their parents, even on their most stressed-out days. Our son, who would often groan and sigh at his parents trying to give him advice, responded so positively to Noelle's cheerful mindset, firm accountability, and the clarity she provided throughout the process- from list generation to brainstorming and editing his personal statement and supplemental essays.
Always honoring what was unique and special about my son but also never allowing us to get delusional about the current competitive realities. “I've participated in the program for 3 years and mainly focused on the European History and Psychology blog. While I was working on the blog, my mentor (Alex) always helped me to select a topic of the week. “Alex was really helpful in terms of brainstorming ideas for my essay topics. We would sit in a room and talk for 30 minutes straight, listing out all the possible ideas that could be used. He was completely open to any idea, which made me feel comfortable enough to share everything on my mind. Also, Alex's honest opinions regarding my writing were very helpful. He directly told me what he didn't like during the earlier phases of writing so that the essay wouldn’t turn into a train wreck. He also gave a lot of care for the grammatical structure of my writing so that we could submit the most cohesive essay possible.”
“Alex helped me tremendously during the college app process by being involved in each step leading to completion. He was extremely meticulous in pointing out what I should work on and continuously gave me suggestions to improve the essay. I remember that I wrote A LOT of drafts for my final essay until we were both satisfied. “Without Alex, I wouldn’t have been able to get into my dream school. I started working with Alex in eighth grade, and he helped me to have specific goals and plans for my high school tenure. With the specific goals and plans, my application had a harmonic element that made me different from other applicants. In order for me to stand out, Alex and I worked on the junction for all my high school achievements and life experiences: the common app and supplemental essays. Since the beginning of summer before my senior year, Alex and I wrote at least 50 drafts in total for ten different schools. Alex suggested specific edits from my initial drafts that would make my essays to connect with my passion for STEM. With hard work from both Alex and me, we ended up with final drafts that radiated my background and passion for colleges. I strongly believe that the essays were a big part of my success, and I thank Alex for his help.”

I came to Alex with a rough direction of what I wanted to do with my career and in a day he crafted a plan of attack to get me into my dream school. We narrowed down my interests into one unique major, he then helped me beef up my extracurriculars to better match my profile as an applicant to that major. From there we began work on essays. Both Alex and Noelle are masters of charting the waters of helping students write interesting, memorable, and even edgy essays while staying in the sphere of what admissions readers want to see. Admissions Angle tapped into my collection of life lessons and memories and from there, pulled out small anecdotes and tidbits to help me craft multiple moving essays.
