Who We Are

Creating More Opportunities and
Inclusive Experiences for Students

Diversity enriches the educational experience. We learn from those whose experiences, beliefs, and perspectives are different from our own, and these lessons can be taught best in a richly diverse intellectual and social environment.

Transfer Scholars Program

The Admissions Angle understands that the fiercely competitive college admissions environment often favors the privileged, those who can afford academic and test prep tutors, in addition to admissions consultants, like ourselves, and a host of other professionals. In addition, most people only think about freshman admissions when thinking about pathways to higher education, often ignoring the crucial role that community colleges play in not only reducing the overall cost of higher education but also giving people another chance to prove that they are able to handle the academic rigor of a competitive college.

Because of this, we created our Transfer Scholars Program, which partners with Westchester Community College to offer our admissions consulting services, pro bono, to deserving students looking to transfer to a four-year institution. We're now proudly in our fifth Transfer Scholars cohort and can boast about helping our students gain admissions to schools such as Harvard, Columbia, NYU, and many more. We are also actively engaged in disseminating knowledge and advice about the transfer process through in-person seminars and online webinars.

Bronx Scholarship Opportunity Fund (BSOP)

The irony of Admissions Angle being founded in the Bronx is not lost on us. Independent educational consulting is an expensive (and complex) endeavor that disproportionately favors the rich and privileged, and yet we house our enterprise in a place with the highest percentage of adults who have not completed high school (45%), let alone college, in NYC.

The BSOP aims to help motivated high school students maximize their education potential, both in regard to admissions and merit-based financial aid, through one-on-one expert guidance.

Applicants must meet four basic criteria to be considered:
  • Must be a rising senior with plans to graduate high school in the Spring/Summer of 2025.
  • Scholars should be low-income, first-generation college applicants.
  • Must live in one of NYC’s five boroughs.
  • Willing to participate in our Pay-It-Forward program the following summer (Summer 2025)
Beyond that, all we ask for is big dreams and a great attitude!
